If something is a HUGE seller for you and it is not evergreen, then for sure it is worth updating frequently yourself or by hiring a Virtual Assistant to help. I am not saying you should make everything evergreen or not, just that if you want to keep it truly passive it is best to pick something that is going to stay “in fashion” for quite a while.
If your customer would be benefitted by having the high-res or high color print professionally printed, suggest it. Even if it’s at your local Staples® make the suggestion to save them time and aggravation. If your products are business forms, to-do lists, etc., a home printer will do, so let them know. Have your cover sheet also include any specific instructions about your product, and a thank you.

On June 13, 2013, documentary filmmaker Jennifer Nelson filed a putative class action suit in federal court for the Southern District of New York against Warner/Chappell in the name of her production company, Good Morning to You Productions. As part of a documentary she was making about the song and its history, she had paid US$1,500 to secure the rights. Her complaint relied heavily on Brauneis's research, seeking not only the return of her money but all royalties collected by the company from other filmmakers since 2009. A week later a similar case was filed in the Central District of California, Rupa Marya v. Warner Chappell Music Inc, Case No. 2:13-cv-04460. Five weeks later, Nelson refiled the case there, and the cases were combined. As of April 2014, Warner's motion to dismiss had been denied without prejudice, and discovery began under an agreed plan with respect to Claim One, declaratory judgment as to whether "Happy Birthday to You" is in the public domain. The Motion Cut-Off as to Merits Issues on the Claim One deadline was November 7, 2014. After that, the court was expected to rule on the motion for summary judgment as to the merits issues on Claim One. A jury trial was requested.

None of the early appearances of the "Happy Birthday to You" lyrics included credits or copyright notices. The Summy Company registered a copyright in 1935, crediting authors Preston Ware Orem and Mrs. R. R. Forman. In 1988, Warner/Chappell Music purchased the company owning the copyright for US$25 million, with the value of "Happy Birthday" estimated at US$5 million. Based on the 1935 copyright registration, Warner claimed that the United States copyright will not expire until 2030, and that unauthorized public performances of the song are illegal unless royalties are paid to Warner. In one specific instance in February 2010, the royalty for a single use was said to be US$700. By one estimate, the song is the highest-earning single song in history. In the European Union, the copyright for the song expired on January 1, 2017.
Silhouette knocked it out of the park with this sophisticated feature. This tool enables you to warp your text in the preselected shapes shown or as the picture shows– it places a grid and small handles on the text. With the object selected you can basically “warp” or manipulate the text as you wish. This feature is great for SVG designers. This feature is standard in the Adobe Software Suite ( Photoshop, Illustrator) so this feature gets a 5 star rating from me.
The split screen library view allows you to pull out a panel from the left side tab in order to view all your files and saved work. It makes it easier to click on the design you want to work with and drag the object into your workspace. This feature alone is a huge timesaver. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve wasted switching in and out of the workspace to retrieve a file or pattern. It would get pretty annoying trying to get a design done and then get bogged down by this back and forth feature. This gets a 5 star rating from me.
The thing about selling downloads is as a customer you get the product with in seconds or minutes after making the purchase. But I get there are some extra steps involved when buying digital downloads. You can also upload to various websites as opposed to goto nearest print shop. I think what I plan to do is offer both but offer the physical print as a empty order and when you order it you tell me what image you want printed. That way there is less confusion on what you are ordering.
This feature will allow you to install color fonts purchased from the Silhouette Design Store or other font designer. It’s specifically for fonts that have a variety of colors, embedded shapes and transparencies. I believe it is probably a great feature for SVG designers. Note: The font shown is one I created only as a sample. I would give this a 4 star rating but there are other designers or crafters that are probably falling off their chair with this new feature.
I priced the Plan, Do, Review kit at $10 - much more than any printable price I had listed before. This was a significant baby step because I was learning that a comprehensive collection of printables was something that I could not only charge MORE for, but it was also something that would SELL BETTER. As that kit started to sell more than any of my other "cheap" printables, I realized that people were a lot more excited to buy my $10 product than they were to buy my $2 or $3 products. Somehow I thought that my cheaper stuff would sell faster. I was wrong and in December 2014, because of that $10 kit, I made $254.50 in sales in that one month, which was so exciting for me since I had only made $186.00 the previous 12 months combined!

While perusing another decor blog I came across a great site for inexpensive art. It is called Vintage Printables and is full of options for your walls. All you have to do is look through the art, find the perfect print and take it to Kinkos to have it blown up. All in all it should cost you a few bucks, minus the frame which I suggest HomeGoods for those. Or even Goodwill…you can always find a used frame there and spruce it up with some spray paint!
Another surprising video result: Beth Anne found a tutorial video she created for her and Sarah's now-defunct Mommy blog on making cappuccinos at home with a frother. That video has almost 5,000 views on it! Again, this video wasn't promoted in any way, it just sits on their Mommy blog which gets about 10-20 hits per day... so it's essentially dead. The video is getting viewed because it's ranking for keyword phrases on Google and YouTube.
Hi, I love looking at all of your post and have printed and used some of them, they are just wonderful and I love looking at all the pictures. I am subscribed to your site but do not get your post in my email anymore. I did get them and then a few months back they stopped coming. I have a yahoo email do you think that has anything to do with it? Is there another way I can get them sent right to me instead of finding them on other sites?
We stayed at the East Bay Inn for 2 nights in July and were so delighted at the experience. The staff was super friendly and had everything taken care of. Cold bottled water was available whenever we needed it (it was July, we needed it often). A wine and cheese reception was offered every evening and there was much more than cheese to munch on. The rooms were fabulous!
If you don’t have a print at home option just save the JPEG files to your computer and upload them onto a site like walgreens.com to print them online. They are specifically formatted to fit into an 8×10 inch frame. If you want to and know you you are certainly welcome to change the size although printing quality my be reduced at sizes larger than 8×10
